Countries with Longest Range InterContinental Ballistic Missiles

The defense strength of any country is based upon how far it can hit with precision and for that Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles play an important role in increasing the overall defense of any country. It is indeed a fact that a country with longest range ICBMs would be a strong opponent in case of war. In past decades, National defense was based on the strength of its Air Force but today world is getting changed with new technology. The longest the range of missiles, the strongest will be the country’s defense and image towards the world.

An ICBM is a long ranged war missile which covers a distance from one continent to another continent through different forms of medium i.e land and water to hit and finish off the targeted area. Different largest missiles are launched from different sources like launching pads, missile silos, submarines and naval warships. Different guiding systems installed in ICBM enables them to accurately ambush the targeted area with complete precision. Numerous countries in the world are blessed with this piece of technology which can also carry detrimental atomic warhead to long range.
Largest missile technology adds great strength to the country defense as it has becomes a lethal tool in modern combat. Most countries are looking forward to make long range missiles technology more precise and detrimental. The long-range missiles are inducted into service as strongest detergent since they are capable of striking targets within the range of thousands of kilometers. With this launch of Inter Continental Ballistic Missiles, country emerges as a major missile power and joins a select group of countries possessing technology to design, develop, build and manufacture long-range missiles of this class and technological complexity.

Only a handful of nations, including China, the U.S., the U.K., France and Russia, have ICBMs in their arsenal. Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) are a major nuclear deterrent and only a few nations possess the technology to launch such long-range weaponry. The Soviet R-36M (SS-18 Satan) is the largest ICBM in history, with a longest range of 16,000km.
