Various countries are in the world which has least vulnerability to natural catastrophe and that makes a visitor keep visiting the safest country without any fear.
The WorldRisk Report 2015 is out now that put together 30 safest countries which are least likely to be affected from natural disaster and food insecurity. This report takes many factors into accounts while determining a country’s vulnerability and its exposure to natural hazards such as flood, storm and earthquake. Food insecurity enlarges the risk of natural disaster and conversely better food security reduces the vulnerability of societies to natural hazard. Adequate resources help authorities to respond quickly to any natural calamity so every country, which aims to become safest, must invest in food security to reduce vulnerability to disasters to least level. A world without hunger would mean fewer disasters. Largest proportion of world’s population earns their living from agriculture so any natural disaster that have detrimental effects on livestock or transportation system will put people’s life in danger.
WorldRiskReport 2015 determines the risk of becoming a victim of a disaster as a result of a natural hazard (e.g. floods, hurricanes, earthquakes etc.) for 171 countries. The WorldRiskIndex focuses probabilities of extreme natural event, food insecurity caused by such events and preventive measures already taken to cope with natural disaster. Qatar is the world’s safest country from which takes the top spot with least vulnerability to natural disaster of 0.08% as according to WRI calculated by UNU-EHS recently in 2015. This makes it an attention for the visitors and tourists as lower risk makes them feel more secure while wandering around in the country. Therefore, Qatar is the country with least exposure to natural disasters.
From previous surveys and reports, different countries continued to move up and down in the ranking of vulnerability but the below given list describes the top 10 safest countries with least exposure to natural disasters according to World Risk Index reckoned by United Nations University for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS) in 2015.
